When a “Fake Awakening” Isn’t Failure: The Truth About Spiritual Awakening and Psychosis

In New Age and esoteric circles, there’s a painful phrase that gets thrown around: “fake awakening.” It’s often used to shame people who went through intense spiritual or psychological experiences and then later realized those experiences didn’t lead to peace or lasting truth.
