Breaking through the lies of the New Age
For whatever reason, I often feel closest to God while driving. Just the other day, as I was talking to Him on the road, I had a moment I’ll never forget.
I acknowledged — deep in my spirit — that there is only one true God. At that exact moment, I saw a glimmer in the sky — high up, like a subtle wink from heaven. Then, suddenly, a celestial light hit me, and I was filled with the Holy Spirit.
It was pure. It was simple. And although I had many wild and “spiritual” experiences in the New Age, none of them ever felt like this.
What Is an Egregore?
Not everyone who walks the New Age path hears the word egregore. But lately, it’s being talked about more — in forums, podcasts, spiritual circles.
In esoteric tradition, an egregore is a non-physical entity or thought-form created by the collective beliefs, emotions, and intentions of a group of people. In other words: it’s a kind of spiritual being, born from human minds and sustained by human energy.
Some believe egregores can guide, protect, or influence. But after spending over a decade in the New Age — I can tell you firsthand: egregores are real, and they are not from God.
Jesus Is Not an Egregore
Let me say this clearly: Jesus is not an egregore. And neither is God.
I've felt the presence of egregores. They are large, commanding, and even awe-inspiring — but also manipulative, sinister, and oppressive. They demand energy. They grow stronger with worship, attention, rituals.
But what I felt that day in my car was not like that. It was pure, holy, and radiant. It didn’t pull from me — it filled me.
When you’re deep in the New Age, it’s easy to start thinking that all spiritual experiences are just projections — or that deities are “thought-forms” created by belief. Some even claim that Jesus is just another powerful egregore — a being formed by centuries of collective Christian belief.
But I can tell you through my experience and my sensitivity that this is a deception.
Jesus Was Not Created — He Is the Creator
Jesus is not like the Greek gods or Hindu avatars, dreamed up by culture and mythology. He is not powered by our energy or sustained by our belief.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made."— John 1:1–3
Jesus was there before creation. Before anyone believed in Him, He was. He is not a thought-form. He is the Living Word — the Son of God. He doesn’t draw life from us. We draw life from Him.
Not All Spirits Are Holy
In the New Age, I encountered many spiritual beings. Some felt beautiful. Others felt dark. All of them required something from me — energy, attention, ritual, offerings. Many in the New Age are not even aware of they are engaging in this exchange.
They were real, yes. But they were not holy. And none of them loved me the way Jesus does.
Jesus doesn’t need us to believe in Him to be powerful. He’s not waiting for collective energy to “wake Him up.” He is already awake. He is already Lord.
If You're Wrestling With These Thoughts...
If you're coming out of the New Age, or even just questioning some of its teachings, I want you to know:
It’s okay to wrestle. It’s okay to question. God is not afraid of your doubts. But don’t fall for the lie that Jesus is just another myth or spiritual projection. He is not created. He is the Creator.
"Jesus said, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"— John 14:6

🕊️ A Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus — not as a thought-form or a created spirit, but as our precious Savior who died for our sins. Thank You for reaching out to me and knowing my journey. Today I open my heart to you and I invite you in. Jesus, I invite You into my heart. Please heal me where there are wounds to be healed. Please receive my repentance and guide me into a stronger relationship with You. For every heart wrestling with doubt and deception, Lord, shine Your heavenly light. Reveal the truth of who You are beyond human imagination and help us see the truth. We love You, and we need You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
